Privacy Policy
PhotoSpec is built so that your photos never leave your phone. This page explains exactly what that means, and the one place where we do handle data.

The short version
- Your photos are processed on your device. They are never uploaded to us.
- We operate no server that receives your photos. There is nothing to breach.
- No account, no sign-up, no advertising, and no analytics or tracking in the app.
- There is no sign-up form anywhere on this site. The only way we ever learn your email address is if you choose to write to us.
The app
Photos
Face detection, background separation, retouching and the final image are all computed on your phone. The app contains no code that sends a photo anywhere. Working files are temporary and are cleared when the app starts; the only photo that persists is the one you choose to save, and it is saved to your own gallery.
What we collect
Nothing. The app does not create an account, does not assign you an identifier, and contains no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising software. It does not read your contacts, location, calendar, or messages.
Permissions, and why

PhotoSpec does not record audio and does not use a microphone. Spoken guidance is text-to-speech played through your speaker; nothing is listened to or recorded.
Payments
Taking and retaking photos is free, without limit. You pay only when you save a finished photo. The purchase is handled entirely by Google Play or the App Store — we never see your card number, and the store tells us only that a purchase was made.
To stop charging you once you reach the daily limit, the app keeps a small record on your device: today’s date and how much has been spent today. It holds no photo, no name and no payment details, it never leaves your phone, and it is removed when you uninstall the app.
This website
This site is hosted by Netlify, which — like any web host — records standard request logs such as IP address and browser type in order to serve the pages and to block abuse. We do not add cookies, advertising tags, or visitor analytics of our own.
There is no contact form, no newsletter box and no sign-up field on this site. Nothing here asks you to type anything about yourself. The site remembers only which language you picked, and it keeps that in your own browser.
Your rights, children, and changes
Because the app collects nothing, there is no app data for us to show, correct or delete. If you have written to us by email, you may ask for a copy of that correspondence or ask us to delete it, and we will. Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA; the same address applies.
PhotoSpec is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change ever means we start collecting something, we will say so plainly rather than bury it here.
