Brazil passport photo: it depends on how you apply
In Brazil, the Polícia Federal normally takes the passport photo during the appointment. Children under 5 must bring a recent 50×70 mm photo with a white background. [1] [2]

Passport — Submission
The child must attend even when a photo is supplied. Closed eyes are accepted only for newborns. Keep the face unobstructed and use a photo that still clearly identifies the child. [1]
For applications abroad, follow the receiving consulate’s instructions. For example, the Brazilian embassy in Oslo requires a printed photo for adult passports. The domestic child exception is not a worldwide rule for Brazilian consulates. [3]
