Estonia passport photo: a photo you take yourself can be submitted

The rule looks at the finished photo, not at where it was taken. That is a rule an app can meet.

Checked on 2026-08-15. Rules move — we re-check this list at least every six months. Next review: 2027-02-15.

What we checked

  • No requirement to be photographed at the office or consulate.
  • No requirement to use a designated or approved studio or booth.
  • No requirement to print the studio name and address on the photo.

What the authority says

A photograph taken yourself shall not be older than six months.
