This tool checks file properties only

It reads what a browser can measure: the file format, the pixel dimensions, the shape and the size on disk. It compares those to the figures the authority publishes. Where an authority publishes no figure the item is marked Not checked rather than given an invented number — that is not the same as matching.

It does not look at the face, the head size, the pose, the expression, the eyes, glasses or the background, and it does not determine whether a government agency will accept a photo. For the full published rules of a document, open its country and document page.

When you carry a photo across to the resize tool, it is handed over inside your own browser’s storage and deleted the moment that page reads it. It is never uploaded.
