What is specific to this document
- A photo you already have for another Malaysia document may not work here. This one takes plain white, while the work permit photo takes light blue. The background has to be right in the shot — it cannot be swapped afterwards.
- Malaysia does not use the same photo size for every document. This one is 35×50 mm, but the driving licence photo is 25×32 mm, so a print made for that one will be rejected here.
- The authority sets a maximum file size but does not publish a pixel size, so the dimensions are your decision. Compress from a full-resolution photo rather than shrinking the picture until it fits.
